This is a very clean banjo with 100% all original parts, a fantastic finish and very little fret wear.
The nickel plating has the typical amount of patina for its age. We never make an attempt to polish these because once the plating has worn through, you can’t get it back.
The banjo was completely went through with a new head, new bridge, neck reset (no pull or push on the neck when attached and the neck gap at the tension hoop is open and nice and even. The curly maple on the neck and resonator is stunning and the finish is in really good shape! The neck plays great and this banjo is loud, balanced and has exceptional bass response down the neck and a powerful clerity up the neck. This fantastic banjo doesn’t lose volume as you play it in the higher positions like so many banjos do. This is the real deal and will make the new owner a fine banjo for life that he or she will be proud to play at home, on stage or in the studio.
